The tragedy occurred across the road from popular winery Laughing Jack on a secluded property with two large sheds.

A pile of rubble was seen in front of one of the buildings, but it’s unclear if that was the wall that collapsed on the man.

A spokesperson for SafeWork SA said they had responded to the incident.

“SafeWork SA has been notified of an incident where a wall collapsed on a man at a property in Nuriootpa, in the Barossa Valley, today,” they said.

“Investigators and inspectors are attending the scene to make inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.”

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
