Arriving on a giant swing inside a diamond laser light installation, the pop princess is taking it to the next level with her Tension Tour arena shows.

Spanning the generations, her adoring fans at Tuesday’s big gig at Adelaide Entertainment Centre were ready to party to dancefloor hits from her close to 40-year career.

They included Padam Padam, Better The Devil You Know, Spinning Around and Can’t Get You Out of My Head.

Adelaide was the second stop on the global tour, which kicked off in Perth on Saturday.

Staged in five acts, the spectacular is two hours of non-stop hits; Minogue’s 1987 debut chart-topping cover of Little Eva’s The Loco-Motion, her mid-90s duet with Nick Cave – the murder ballad Where The Wild Things Grow – and new material from her latest album Tension II.

Toast of the town

Kylie Minogue has toasted her return to Adelaide with a visit to acclaimed winery Penfolds Magill Estate.

The pop princess, who’s in town for a show on Tuesday night, was given a special tour of the cellar door on Monday.

Dressed casually in a red tracksuit and sporting a cap and sunglasses, Minogue checked out Penfolds’ historic wine barrels, before enjoying a wine tasting along with some cheese and crackers.

She shared a video of her visit on Instagram, which she captioned: “When in Adelaide …. Cheers Penfolds!!”

A Penfolds spokeswoman said the winery has the pleasure of hosting many international guests at Magill Estate when they offer “unforgettable experiences”.

Minogue, who’s understood she’s staying at a luxury city hotel, touched down in Adelaide on Sunday night ahead of her Adelaide Entertainment Centre concert.

The fresh faced beauty arrived from Perth, where she kicked off her tour, to perform in Adelaide for the first time since March 2019. The gig will be the second of seven dates on the Australian leg of her Tension Tour.

Minogue, 56, is a renowned wine lover, and even has her own eponymous wine label which has sold over 15 million bottles globally since it was launched in 2020.

She’s previously revealed that she first fell in love with wine on a trip to the south of France and Italy with then boyfriend, INXS frontman Michael Hutchence.

Minogue is set to play in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane following the Adelaide show to promote her new album Tension II.
