Driver dies in horror crash between truck and car at Nelson, east of Mount Gambier
A person has died in a cross-border crash between a car and truck with Mount Gambier emergency services rushing to the scene.

A driver has died at the scene of a horror crash between a car and a truck east of Mount Gambier.
A large emergency response from Mount Gambier crossed the border into Victoria towards Nelson just before 7am on Friday.
It is understood a car and truck collided on Portland-Nelson Rd about 7.30am and Victoria Police confirmed the driver of the car – who is yet to be formally identified – died at the scene.
The male driver of the truck was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are working to establish the circumstances of the collision and urge anyone who witnessed the incident, has dashcam footage or any other information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
The death comes as South Australian emergency services rushed to the scene of another serious crash between a ute and a truck at Uleybury in the Mount Lofty Ranges early Friday morning.
While a pedestrian is in a critical condition after being struck by a car in Gawler South on Thursday night.
