MAFS Star Sebastian Guilhaus Leaves Adelaide Court

A former reality star turned adult filmmaker has won a bid in court to use his apartment’s gym facilities while on home detention bail.

On Wednesday, Married At First Sight star Sebastian Guilhaus returned to the Adelaide Magistrates Court after asking for his bail conditions to be altered at his last hearing.

Mr Guilhaus previously asked the court to vary his bail to allow him to leave his apartment and attend the gymnasium on level two of the same building, but prosecutors were concerned he wouldn’t be properly monitored in such a scenario.

Mr Guilhaus last month pleaded not guilty to one count of trafficking in a commercial quantity of a controlled drug.

Prosecutors have alleged that, during his arrest, SA Police seized 870 grams of methamphetamine worth $90,000 from an address in Keswick in July last year.

In February, his lawyer told the court Correctional Services were concerned Mr Guilhaus would not be able to be monitored properly while he used the gym, but Chief Magistrate Mary-Louise Hribal ordered a home detention report to assess if the facility would be appropriate.

“The compliance report has come back positive, and he can remain monitored during his time in the gym in the apartment complex,” she said on Wednesday.

The court heard Mr Guilhaus was not to use free weights, but would instead “focus on upper body workouts” with machines.

Prosecutors were no longer opposed to the application, and Ms Hribal varied Mr Guilhaus’ bail.

He will face the District Court in May to set a date for trial.
