A former reality TV star turned Only Fans producer has denied he trafficked $90,000 worth of illicit substances, but asked a court to vary his bail so he can go to the gym.
Married At First Sight star Sebastian Guilhaus returned to the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning where he pleaded not guilty to one count of trafficking in a commercial quantity of a controlled drug.
Prosecutors have alleged that, during his arrest, SA Police seized 870 grams of methamphetamine worth $90,000 from an address in Keswick in July last year.
Charges were dropped against his female co-accused on Wednesday, but prosecutors told the court they would be proceeding with the charge against Mr Guilhaus.
“Pleas of not guilty will be entered through counsel, with a case to answer conceded,” Mr Guilhaus’ lawyer said.
Mr Guilhaus, 35, of Croydon, stood silently as his lawyer also asked the court to vary his home detention bail conditions so he could attend his building’s private second floor gym.
“There is also an application on file to vary his bail to seek a condition that allows him to attend level two of his apartment complex which is a gymnasium.
“Correctional Services have said no, as they basically have a blanket prohibition on any gymnasium facility, notwithstanding that this is a private self contained facility in his building.”
Chief Magistrate Mary-Louise Hribal ordered a home detention report to assess if Mr Guilhaus can still be monitored while in his building’s gym.
He will return to court in March.
Outside court, Mr Guilhaus remained silent with his mother there supporting him.
