A Domino’s pizza delivery man has fought off a group of teenagers in an alleged attempted robbery at Port Augusta over the weekend, with the incident captured on CCTV.
SA Police were called to Hicks St on the eastside of town just before 6pm after reports that a delivery driver had been assaulted by an unknown male and a group of teenagers who attempted to rob him.
The footage of the alleged attempted robbery, which was captured on CCTV, was obtained by 7News and shows the driver getting into his car, before an unknown man walks up and opens the door.
The driver is coaxed out of the car and is then rushed by a group of youths attempting to assault him.
The delivery driver managed to fight the group off with SA Police now investigating the incident.

“Police are investigating an attempted robbery in Port Augusta,” an SA Police spokesperson said.
“Police were called to Hicks Street after reports that a delivery driver had been assaulted by an unknown male, who then tried to steal money from him.
“The male was in company with a group of about four other teenagers. The group then ran off from the scene.
“The driver was not seriously injured. Far North CIB are investigating.”
SA Police have asked anyone who may have witnessed the incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
