Santa kicks off Christmas fun at Grand Central

IF YOU'VE made your list and checked it twice, Grand Central Shopping Centre is the place to be today as Santa is bringing Toowoomba his Christmas cheer.

The spirit of Christmas will be alive at the centre from today as Santa's arrival kicks off a range of festive workshops and interactive activities.

The grand arrival parade is on today and will start in the Food Court at 10am.

Santa and his friends will make their way through the centre, finishing at Santa's throne in Centre Court.

The fun will continue throughout the day, with face painting and balloon animals available, along with activities with Santa's friends.

There will be plenty of roving entertainment for the kids to enjoy from 11am to 1pm, with Santa's friends roaming the centre for photos and fun.

Photos will be available with Santa Claus from 11am today, and will continue daily until Christmas Eve.

Every child photographed with Santa will receive a free gift.

The centre will be filled with interactive zones where children can write letters to Santa, take part in drawing, bauble making and Christmas decoration workshops until Christmas Eve.

Customers should keep a lookout for one of Grand Central's Christmas Cheer Ambassadors, who will provide directions and spreading Christmas cheer.
