Toowoomba Catholic Schools recently held its annual Excellence Awards ceremony to showcase practitioners demonstrating excellence in their fields.

Catholic Schools executive director Dr Pat Coughlan said more than 100 nominations had been received from the diocese this year.

“This year’s recipients consistently bring the best ideas and innovations to their teaching, leadership and educational support,” Dr Coughlan said.

“Without their efforts and influence, exemplary practice remains hidden in pockets and largely unrecognised.

“We thank all of our finalists and recognise the invaluable contribution they make to moving our system of schools from great to excellent.”

This year’s ceremony saw 12 recipients take home an award across 10 categories and three areas of education.
