Queensland Police release CCTV of man wanted for questioning over Plainland assault

Queensland Police are searching for a man who is alleged to have assaulted a teenage boy at Plainland in February. See the CCTV footage here.

The search continues for a man allegedly involved in the assault on a teenage boy at a Plainland supermarket in February, with Queensland Police now releasing CCTV footage of the man.

It’s understood the 17-year-old boy entered the Plainland supermarket about 7.15pm February 18, where he passed a man and woman exiting the store.

A Queensland Police spokesman said a short time later the man and woman returned to the store, approaching the teenage boy in an aisle where it’s believed a confrontation occurred.

Police will allege the man struck the teenage boy in the face before exiting the store with the woman, with the 17-year-old suffering minor injuries.

The man as seen in the CCTV is described as caucasian and is approximately 175cm tall with a shaven head and rats tail, and has tattoos on his head and right arm.

He was witnessed wearing a black shirt, black pants and light coloured work boots.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who knows the man to come forward or contact Policelink on 131 444.
