RUGBY LEAGUE: The Brahmans have put on a good showing in their final fixtures in their last pre-season match before the MDRL competition starts on April 3.
The round robin-style fixtures played at Les Stagg oval in Proserpine saw a reduction to 30-minute halves for the reserve grade teams. The Brahmans had mixed success in the reserve grade but made a positive showing in the A-grade matches, scoring 22 unanswered points against Mackay's Souths Sharks.
The A-grade team also triumphed over the Townsville Brothers scoring 14 points to Brothers' 10.
Brahmans A-grade team manager Bryce Fraser said the boys would have a week off before they met Brothers in round one.
"We are excited about the season ahead and hope to back up our result from last year," he said.
