A man has been charged with shocking alleged crimes spanning over a decade in the Whitsundays.
The matters were before Bowen Magistrates Court where it was heard the man had been charged with over 30 offences including assault causing harm, torture, breaking into a home with intent, and stalking.
The offences allegedly occurred over a fourteen year period across the Whitsundays.
Lawyer Elizabeth Smith from PD Law appeared on behalf of the man, telling the court while they had received some material they had requested from the prosecution, some she had been told was not in police possession.
She said she would be making a formal disclosure application to get those documents.
Ms Smith added that they were requesting a copy of a transcript of court proceedings as it appeared to her the man had been recharged and there was a jurisdictional issue.
She asked that the matters be adjourned to July 8 to allow time for an application to be made.
