Monster trucks and miniature pig races are just some of the highlights of a not-to-be-missed 2021 Bowen Show program.
For one day only, the Bowen Showgrounds will be the centre of activity with all your traditional agricultural displays including craft, cookery, horticulture and poultry and livestock plus a range of interactive family-friendly entertainment, showbags and more.
The volunteers of the Bowen Pastoral Agricultural Association cannot wait to welcome crowds back after the cancellation of last year’s show.
Secretary Bonnie Kohlhase was looking forward to the FMX Kaos freestyle motocross show in the main ring, gold-panning demos with Rocky River Mining, a magic show from Brisbane magician Chris Stay, and not one but two fireworks displays – one for the kids at 6pm and the main event about 8pm.
Ms Kohlhase said “tonnes” of amusement rides had already arrived at the showgrounds, and would operate until late on show day — Tuesday June 22.
If you are less of a thrillseeker, and more of an animal-lover, check out the petting zoo and reptile displays during the day.
Gates open at 9am, with discounted entry for families, students, pensioners and kids under 14.
