A Warwick motorcyclist was flown to Toowoomba after a serious crash.
The 39-year-old man from Warwick was riding along Washpool Rd, west of Warwick, towards the Leslie Dam area about 5pm on April 7.
The man was riding when his bike collided with an object – understood to be a kangaroo – near the intersection of Washpool Rd and Saddledam Rd.
The man was flung over the handlebars of the bike and as a result he suffered serious injuries.
Police and Queensland Ambulance Service crews attended the scene shortly after, followed by RACQ LifeFlight.
It is understood the man suffered a compound fracture, a fractured hip and the amputation of two fingers in the crash, police said on Monday.
The man was flown to Toowoomba Hospital by LifeFlight in an unknown condition, a LifeFlight spokesperson confirmed.
It’s understood the kangaroo was killed in the crash.
