Warwick crash: Car smashes into wall near King St barber shop

A man, believed to be in his 40s, was behind the wheel when the car drove up onto the footpath and crashed into the building, narrowly missing Kings Barber Shop and Member for Southern Downs James Lister’s office.

A car has mounted the footpath and ploughed into a wall on a prominent Warwick street, narrowly missing nearby businesses and offices.

The car, reportedly driven by a man in his 40s, launched into the wall about 11am, narrowly missing Member for Southern Downs James Lister’s office and Kings Barber Shop.

Witnesses reported hearing a loud engine revving noise shortly before the crashed into the building.

Paramedics assessed two people at the scene, however no one was taken to hospital.

A Queensland Police spokesman said two people were inside the Barber Shop at the time of the crash.

Investigations into the cause are under way.
