Three-vehicle crash sees traffic delays on New England Hwy near Nobby

Multiple emergency services crews have responded to reports of a three-vehicle crash on the New England Highway near Nobby.
The incident took place near Pilton Rd and Nobby Connection Rd some time after noon on Tuesday.
It is understood a woman and child from one of the vehicles was assessed by ambulance officers, along with a male occupant from another vehicle, a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said.
The QAS spokeswoman said the woman had sustained minor abdominal injuries and was taken to Toowoomba Hospital, along with her toddler who isn’t reported to be injured, and another unknown male.
A second adult male involved in the incident wasn’t required to be transported to hospital.
Police, fire and rescue crews were also on scene, and initially had both lanes of the highway blocked, a Queensland Police Service spokesman said.
The QPS spokesman said crews are working to have the highway reopen shortly after 1pm.
The circumstances around the cause of the accident remain unknown.
