These are the people Warwick police believe could assist with investigations.
Clayton Michael-Johan Alvoen
Police are still adamant they will find a man following his dramatic escape from custody almost three years ago.
Stanthorpe Clayton Michael-Johan Alvoen allegedly escaped custody on April 28, 2021, as he was being escorted from the Warwick watch-house.
He hasn’t been seen since.
Two people were charged with aiding the escape, with Mr Alvoen’s cousin Brodie Joseph Brennan telling the Stanthorpe court he found the fugitive in his boot after leaving court.
Brennan told Stanthorpe Magistrates Court in September 2021 he “reluctantly” drove from the Warwick court with Alvoen in his boot because he was “frightened and scared” of his cousin.
Brennan first unknowingly helped his cousin, as Mr Alvoen allegedly hid himself in the boot of Brennan’s unlocked car.
Brennan pleaded guilty to one charge of aiding persons to escape from lawful custody in 2021.
Police will allege Mr Alvoen headbutted the police officer escorting him to the watch-house, before fleeing.
A Warwick detective told Warwick Daily News that when found, Alvoen would face additional “serious charges” relating to his escape.
“The search for him is an ongoing matter, and when he is caught he’s going to have more charges such as escaping lawful custody and assaulting a police officer, which are pretty significant charges,” the detective said last year.
“He won’t appear on his own volition, the only way he’ll face charges is if we find him, and we will find him.”
