Horse Power column with Gerard Walsh

WOMEN will be the focus when the Warwick Karting Club hosts the final round of the Women On Wheels series at Morgan Park this weekend.

The club expects to attract 150 riders.

While this is the weekend for women, men don't miss out as they are part of the support program.

The Warwick club has organised state and national rounds down the years and always make a good job of it.

Two Warwick men - club president Loki Lee and junior Trey Williams - are fourth in their events in the WOW series and will aim to perform well on home dirt and finish on the podium.

Races planned

THE Killarney Cup race meeting will be held at Allman Park today week.

It is great how the Allora and Killarney cups have returned in recent years and been supported so well by the towns.

Killarney trainer Les Clarke has had runners in the past and hopefully will again this year - few sporting achievements match winning your own cup.

Karting

ROUND three of the club championships will be held at Warwick Karting Club tomorrow at Sandy Creek Raceway.

The drivers will practice today. Admission tomorrow is free.

Polocrosse talk

PEOPLE are still talking to me about the success of the Adina Polocrosse World Cup in April and the economic benefit to the town.

It was, without a doubt, a massive event, just like Australia's most famous rodeo and campdraft in late October each year. Visitors mean dollars.
