WHAT about a Team Warwick in the 24 Hours of Lemons on September 20-21 at Morgan Park?

Last weekend, there were 37 entries for the first Lemons racing in the Warwick area.

Lemons refers to the car being the worst in the car yard and costing around $1000 before safety changes.

Team Betta Warwick, comprised of Rob Balint and Peter Lane, contested Targa Tasmania a few times but who will fly the Warwick flag in September?

The Daily News is now close to the raceway and there wasn't a lot of noise from the cars last weekend. Vehicles will all be fitted with noise restricters for the overnight race in September.

Sprints return

THE Warwick and District Sporting Car Club will run round 3A of the Queensland Super Sprints at Morgan Park Raceway this weekend.

There are 100 nominations and it will be a battle against the clock rather than other drivers.

After this weekend, bikes will be at Morgan Park Raceway next weekend for round 2 of the Southern Downs and Queensland Road Racing Series. Some riders will be in town on June 8-9 to become accustomed to the track before the July 5-7 Australian Superbikes Championships.
