Planning reports reveal three new cabins will be built on the 0.821 hectare property at Lot 1 on Bellingham Road, Elbow Valley.

The detached single-storey cabins will measure 85.6 sqm, taking up an estimated 3.21 per cent of the total site area.

“Each of the three cabins are to be self-contained and have outlooks towards the east across the dry creek and towards the Condamine River,” the report read.

“Each cabin will be provided with a rainwater tank for potable water.”

The document stated that each cabin will consist of one bedroom, a kitchenette, ensuite, outdoor bathtub, open living area with a fireplace, and a deck area.

The short-term accommodation will be able to accommodate a maximum of six people at any one time, for up to 45 consecutive days.

Current plans indicate at least one carparking space per cabin will be built.

Natural materials of stone fences and timber will be used to build the cabins so as to blend with the current landscape.
