New England Hwy cleared after truck rollover

Pictures from the scene of the crash show how lucky one truck driver was after a rollover sparked a late-night response from emergency crews.

Both lanes of the New England Hwy at Dalveen on the Southern Downs are now clear after a late-night truck rollover on Wednesday night.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said a crew was dispatched to the scene about 11.30pm last night.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Service crews were also dispatched and arrived on the scene just before midnight.

A Queensland Police spokesman said attending officers suspected the truck‘s fuel tank may have ruptured as a result of the crash.

The driver, who was the sole occupant of the Lindsay Transport truck, was uninjured and didn‘t require transport to hospital.

Emergency services left the scene in the early hours of Thursday morning and no further police investigations will be conducted.
