Man and woman taken to hospital after highway crash

FATIGUE blamed for a crash on the New England Highway south of Warwick this morning.

UPDATE 9.30am: Police have blamed fatigue for a crash on the New England Highway overnight.

A man and woman in their 20s were in a car when it collided with a guide rail at Devil's Elbow, just south of Pyramid's Rd at Wallangarra.

Emergency services were called to the scene about 3.41am this morning.

Both occupants were transported to Stanthorpe Hospital with minor injuries.

INITIAL 6.30am: A car crashed into an embankment on the New England Highway in the early hours of this morning and left two people injured.

Emergency services were called to the scene about 10km north of Wallangarra at 3.41am.

No one was trapped in the vehicle after the crash but two people were transported to Stanthorpe Hospital with minor injuries.

The gender and age of the patients were unknown.
