A beloved tourist park bordering the Southern Downs has hit the market after six years.

Goomburra Valley Campground, known for its picturesque location and proximity to popular walking trails at Main Range National Park is ready for a new investor at offers more than $2.1m.

It’s only a short two-hour drive from Brisbane to the campground where you’ll find king parrots, rainbow lorikeets and platypus.

Campground owners Brad and Teresa Badgery spent years fundraising through the community to build a helicopter pad on the property to allow LifeFlight Toowoomba’s rescue helicopter a safe and easy land for rescues in the area.

The campground was also visited by YouTube camping guru The Wanderer Aus Rob Jamieson and his fellow comrades for their annual Legends For Charity event.

Warwick Daily News spoke with Mr Jamieson in November 2023 about his love of the Goomburra Valley area and why it was chosen to host the charity event.

Adjacent to the campground is the flowing Dalrymple Creek, offering an abundance of watersport activities.

A grey nomads’ delight, the campground can accommodate both powered and unpowered sites, including two shower and toilet blocks, camp kitchen and much more.

The more than 25ha property also has local council approval for eight cabins, with its high occupancy rate having secured extensive future bookings.
