Scots PGC Warwick
Bridget Hardy
Year level: 12
Leadership position: College captain
What traits should a leader have?
I believe a strong leader is someone who has a positive influence in their environment, being a role model for others by setting a good example. They should be optimistic and show resilience during challenging times to maintain a positive outlook and inspire others to persevere. This should be someone who is a good listener, considering the ideas, opinions, and concerns of those around them to ultimately foster the growth within their community. I also believe that a good leader is someone who shows accountability, taking responsibility for their decisions and actions.
Goals for after school/ where do you want to be this time next year?
This time next year, I hope to be attending university and pursing a degree in medicine. Alternatively, I hope to be studying an undergraduate degree to later apply for a medicine program. Although I love home and being surrounded by my family, I am looking forward to what is to come, meeting new people and embarking further in my academic studies.
William Auger

Leadership position: College captain
What traits should a leader have?
A leader should actively demonstrate the values which he or she wishes to impart on their community and be determined to improve it through their services.
Goals for after school/where do you want to be this time next year?
Next year I‘d like to go to the Australian Defence Force Academy to study aeronautical engineering and receive world class military and leadership training to prepare me for a prosperous future.
Alexis Zerner
Year level: 12
Leadership position: College vice captain
What traits should a leader have?
I believe a leader has traits of empathy, compassion, and perseverance. To me, a leader isn't someone who makes all of the decisions or tells people what to do, but is instead someone who encourages others to do their best, treats others with kindness, and works alongside everyone to form the best outcome for the task at hand.
Goals for after school/ where do you want to be this time next year?
This time next year, I hope to be beginning my first year of university. At the moment, I am not certain on what course I would like to study, however, I think I will most likely be studying a maths or physics related course. Although I will most definitely miss SCOTS PGC, I am incredibly excited to see how my future unfolds.
Mitchell Twidale
Year level: 12
Leadership position: College vice captain
What traits should a leader have?
I think a leader should not be afraid to stand out of the crowd to show what’s right. They should be a role model who can be viewed upon to help and guide others. They also should be always willing to have a go at new things.
Goals for after school/where do you want to be this time next year?
I want to become a diesel mechanic and an autoelectrician after school. So, I'll hopefully start an apprenticeship next year once I finish school.
Warwick State High School
Name: Sophie Kuhn
Year level: 12
Leadership position: School captain
What traits should a leader have?
A leader should be aiming to lift those around them up to achieve great things and build a good culture within whatever they're leading. The best way to do that is by being organised, friendly, and a good team player.
Goals for after school/where do you want to be this time next year?
This time next year I hope to be working (probably as a barista but hopefully as a photographer) saving up to go travelling for the rest of the year. Once I come home, I'll go to uni, but I’m still deciding between environmental science, teaching, or something else entirely
Name: Ashlee McGee
Year level: 12
Leadership position: vice captain
What traits should a leader have?
The ideal leader listens to the people around them and brings their ideas to action. They include everyone in decision making, considering everyone’s opinions on the matter. Being able to work equally in a team while still maintaining an aura of a leader is important. A team will not get anywhere without someone to direct them and keep them on track.
Goals for after school/where do you want to be this time next year?
Currently I am a little stuck on what I would like to do, but at the moment I’m deciding between becoming a mechatronic/mechanical engineer or joining the air force and becoming an aeromechanic. Both are very similar concepts, but they would affect my life vastly differently. In my spare time I would like to travel the world and explore. Go visit a temple, a castle, or some abandoned ruins in the middle of Rome. The first place on my bucket list is Greece.
Name: Ryan Callow
Year level: 12
Leadership position: School Captain
What traits should a leader have?
A leader needs to be involved, be seen by the school community, role modelling what you wish the students to be like. This extends to contributing ideas and incorporating the ideas of the students and staff in projects and events that may better the school environment. You need a level of confidence and acceptance in being seen by a lot of people, don‘t shy away, as this creates doubt within all that look up to you. So for any future leaders, make sure to be a role model for the community and the students of your school.
Goals for after school/where do you want to be this time next year?
Next year I plan on travelling the world. I've got family over in England and soccer trials with big clubs, so my mate and I will test our luck in the European Leagues, while travelling over the world and seeing the sights. If that life doesn’t pan out the way I wanted it, or I simply don’t enjoy the experience, I’ll come back to Australia and join the Australian Defence Force Academy, and earn a degree in aeronautical engineering.
