Three flee fire as home destroyed at Nambour

Three people have escaped a ferocious fire which has gutted a grand home at Nambour.
The blaze broke out inside the house in City View Terrace on Sunday morning.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said two men in their 70s and 30s, and a woman in her 50s, were in the home when the fire started and escaped without injury.
Photos of the forest-fronting home show rooms reduced to rubble and ash and antique furniture destroyed.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said multiple crews were called to the “well-involved” blaze about 6.10am and went into action with two hose lines.
All emergency services and Energex were on scene and the fire was out by 7.44am.
The spokesman said a fire investigator was not required at City View Terrace.
A crime scene was however established at a separate site where fire gutted the Tamarind day spa at Spicers, Maleny.
