Teenager suffers serious burns at Noosa North Shore

A teenager has been flown to hospital after suffering extensive burns to his face in Noosa North Shore.

Paramedics rushed to treat the young man along the Cooloola Great Walk about 9.24am on Sunday December 11 after he had coolant splashed in his face.

It’s understood the coolant was from a vehicle.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said the teenager was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a serious condition.

The popular bushwalking track in the Great Sandy National Park runs from Noosa North Shore up to Cooloola and Rainbow Beach, often taking five days to trek.
