Police are investigating after an alleged stolen car chase ended in crash on the Sunshine Coast - with reports of one driver bashing the other and then two drivers testing positive for drug driving.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating after three vehicles and four people were involved in the crash on Parkway Terrace, Palmview around 9.30am, Wednesday.

Initial investigations indicate two utes were following a reportedly stolen Mercedes through Palmview.

This ended in a crash at the end of Parkway Terrace.

Police will allege the driver of the Mercedes and one of the utes were then involved in a physical altercation.

Witnesses alleged one of the drivers “beat the f--k out of” the other driver.

The driver of the Mercedes has been transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition and the drivers of both utes allegedly tested positive to a drug test and have been detained for further testing.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said investigations are ongoing and no one had been charged at this stage.
