1. Friends robbed of 'indestructible' pair at music festival
Friends and loved ones expressed their shock and condolences over two young lives lost at a music festival, sparking further calls for pill testing.
Maleny's Dassarn Tarbutt, 24, and Nambour's Ebony Greening, 22, were found dead in a tent at the Rabbits Eat Lettuce music festival near Warwick on Monday.

2. Camp owners fined over floodwater evacuation
Almost 50 campers had to be evacuated over the Easter long weekend after rising floodwaters threatened to inundate the no-camping zone within which they were staying.
The scene of the evacuation, which was carried out by Sunshine Coast Council officers and police, was located on Kenilworth Camping on the River, which has in recent years been issued breach notices by council for unauthorised camping activities.

3. Grocery 'thief' choked by Woolies employee in footage
Dramatic footage of an alleged shoplifter being choked on the ground by staff of a Maroochydore supermarket store is being reviewed by management.
A witness provided the Daily with footage which shows two Woolworths employees in branded shirts, a woman and a security guard holding down an alleged shoplifter at Big Top Shopping Centre last week.

4. 13 suburbs where property values have boomed in past year
Many Sunshine Coast suburbs have shot up in value and it's not the ones most expected.
Property price rises have been recorded in the hinterland regions, with some averages almost reaching the million-dollar mark, while the majority of beachside suburbs remained relatively constant.

5. Terrifying sex attack in quiet street shocks community
Children riding their bikes around a cul-de-sac looked no different to any other street by day, but the terrifying crime that unfolded by night was enough to shock a community to its core.
As families at Birtinya slept on Saturday night, a woman was dragged into bushes, thrown to the ground and sexually assaulted before fighting off her attacker and running for her life.
