Whispering Rock, Kiels Mountain
The 12ha land at 430 Kiel Mountain Road, Kiels Mountain has been listed for sale by Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty agents Melissa Schembri and Daniel Rees with a price guide of $11m+.
The 11-bedroom estate was built by real estate investor and I Love Real Estate founder Dymphna Boholt and her husband, Brian Boholt.
Alongside the primary five-bedroom residence, the property also holds a four-bedroom guesthouse and a separate function venue.
Tucked away in Sunshine Coast rainforest, the home boasts a games room, cinema, gym and garage suitable for car collectors.
Outside, an alfresco dining and barbecue area accompanies a courtyard with pizza oven alongside a dam, fountains and walking paths.
A two-bedroom caretaker’s apartment is attached to the main residence.
Ms Boholt had used the function centre to host seminars, and had received council approval for a wedding venue with commercial kitchen.
The property has also been approved for the addition of guest accommodation.
Ms Schrembi and Mr Rees saidMs Boholt had outgrown her property’s capacity to host her events, and the couple had decided to sell in order to spend more time sailing across the globe on their Europe-based yacht.
Ms Schrembi and Mr Rees described Ms Boholt as an investor, educator and author, renowned for her I Love Real Estate community and her books on property investments.
5 Sunset Beach Ave, Yaroomba
The seven-bedroom home at 5 Sunset Beach Ave, Whitehaven Beachside, Yaroomba has been labelled as a “party house” with space to entertain hundreds.
Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty agents Richard Bowen and Heath McOrist have launched an expression of interest campaign for the property with a price guide of $4.5m+.
Owners Michael Gavin and Dr Michelle Lien bought the “best and largest block” of six connected to park lands in 2011, to build their seven-bedroom family home.
With ensuites coupling each bedroom, the home also provides separate guest quarters, making it ideal for multigenerational families.
The home is tucked away in a gated community which offers amenities including a tennis court and resort-style swimming pool.
Mr Bowen and Mr McOrist said the home bordered an “almost private beach”.
The couple have since decided to downsize, since their children have grown up and moved overseas or interstate.
Mr Gavin and Dr Lien lease out their home for $15,000 per week during school holiday periods, or when the couple set off on ski trips overseas.
The leases help offset the costs of their holidays, Mr Bowen and Mr McOrist said.
“If there was ever a party house, this is it, with room to entertain hundreds of your ‘nearest and dearest’.”
