It is a stepping stone to the Langer Trophy, and, for some, a gateway into the NRL or Queensland Cup system.

The Year 10 Walters Cup schoolboy rugby league competition, named after Brisbane Broncos legend Kevin Walters, is back with a bang and News Corp will be there live streaming every game across the season.

Games start on Tuesday, featuring Stretton State College and, for the first time, Caloundra SHS. See the schedule below.

The Courier-Mail, along with News Corp affiliates, will stream every match from the opens division this season on the KommunityTV platform, along with Year 10 Walters Cup.

Palm Beach Currumbin SHS, Keebra Park SHS, Marsden SHS, Mabel Park SHS, Wavell SHS and Redcliffe SHS will also be in the race for the premiership.

NRL talent scouts peruse each match as players use the competition as a stepping stone to the Langer Trophy.
