Livestreaming of the elite schoolboy Langer Trophy rugby league competition starts on Wednesday with two cracking qualifying finals.
In a first for News Corp, qualifying games between Mabel Park SHS and St Mary’s College in Ipswich (3pm), and then then Caloundra SHS against Mountain Creek SHS (4pm) will be streamed.
Then on March 23 Redcliffe SHS will play the winner of Caloundra SHS v Mountain Creek SHS.

Six teams were automatically elevated into the eight team Langer Trophy this season.
They were state champions Palm Beach Currumbin SHS, Langer Trophy home-and-away winners Marsden SHS, Wavell SHS, Ipswich SHS,Coombabah SHS and Keebra Park SHS.
Here are some key PLAYERS TO WATCH ahead of the qualifying series.
St Mary’s College
Darcy Carswell: A strong front rower who is an effective ball runner. His pre-season form has been strong for Toowoomba Clydesdales.
Harry Schwenke: A country boy from Texas, the front rower or second rower has been going from strength to strength since debuting for the team last year. He is an aggressive defender that has a big minutes engine.
Zac Brown: Impressive is his Langer Cup matches in 2021, Brown has been working tirelessly in the gym and ready for a big season. He can play anywhere from back row to five-eight.

Mabel Park SHS
Steven Walsh: A talented outside back who is explosive.
Kena Finau: Another centre, Finau is damaging with the ball in hand and is great defender.
CALOUNDRA SHS
Jayden Smith: Smith is a hard-running, skilful back rower who uses his strengths of aggression and toughness to the best of his ability. He is always leading by example.
Tully McLellan: Man of the Match in last season’s DeVere Trophy grand final win, McLellan is a dual threat halfback. He has an excellent running and passing game whilst also being able to drop the ball on his toe anywhere on the field. His leadership skills were also second to none on and off the field.
Mountain Creek SHS
Sifa Kava: An outside back, Kava is a big, tall, rangy player who has a fair bit of skill about him. He’s very quick and damaging when carrying the ball.
Mason Kira: Kira is a monster in attack and defence. He’s a very damaging runner with the ball in his hands and he’s someone that the opposition avoids if they see him in the defensive line.
Brock Thomas: Thomas is another hard running front rower who helps get Mountain Creek SHS set in motion. He is just the ultimate forward with his workrate and intensity.
Redcliffe SHS
Jack Cameron: The clever dummy half was man of the match in last season’s Gee Cup grand final win by Redcliffe SHS. He has progressed physically and will have a strong year of schoolboy footie.
Jacob Taulani: Taulani is a big, strong edge forward who proved a handful for opposition teams last year.
Leroy Murray: Murray is a good organising half back with an accurate kicking game.
Aholoka Toia: Tois is a damaging middle forward with great leg speed.
