The 2021/22 Sunshine Coast cricket season has come to a close with Tewantin-Noosa dominating all three formats and players from all over the region producing top-string performances.

Ex-Queensland Bulls and Australian T20 player and current Tewantin-Noosa coach Nathan Reardon said he couldn't be prouder of the team's efforts after winning all three T20, limited overs and two day formats.

“Obviously you play the game to win premierships and they’ve been able to win every single one of them throughout the year which I know means a lot to quite a few of the people at the club who have been there for a long time,” he said.

“I’m not there all time but to be involved over the last couple of years it’s really good to see, and I’m extremely proud.”

The efforts on the field have helped many mourning the loss of former Tewantin-Noosa player and coach, Michael Sobey who sadly passed away on February 23.

Reardon said the welcomed additions of former Australian pace bowler Ben Laughlin and experienced batsman Lewis Waugh drove the team

each week.

“Premierships are always very hard to win so just because we were able to acquire the likes of Lewis Waugh and Ben Laughlin didn't mean we were going to win the way we did,” he said.

“But they had top seasons and our senior players all stepped up alongside them for the victory's to be a real team effort.”

After ranking all 2293 batters and all 1909 bowlers from every single age grade, we've now revealed the Sunshine Coast division one cricket team of the season.
