Rescue helicopter called following incident between man and bull at Kenilworth

A man is in the Sunshine Coast University Hospital after he was reportedly pushed up against a fence by a bull on a hinterland property.

A man has been airlifted to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital following an incident with a bull on a Kenilworth dairy property.

A RACQ Lifeflight Rescue spokeswoman said it was believed the man was pushed against a fence by the bull, suffering a leg injury and possibly other internal injuries.

The Sunshine Coast-based rescue chopper was called about 6.20am on July 30, 2022.

The pilot landed in a paddock at the scene.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said the man, in his 80s, was treated and then flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition with a serious leg injury.

A flight paramedic and critical care doctor accompanied the man on the flight to the hospital.
