Wealthy in stunning beach front views and riverside luxuries, the rich and famous have spent millions to secure a home in the Noosa region.
Noosa has become the dream location for celebrities and business people looking to retire, a place with accessibility to high-end restaurants and businesses as well as a breathtaking coastal landscape and sunshine to bask in.
Despite the Noosa shire recording a $700,000 decrease in median house prices between 2022 and 2023, some homes have recently been snapped up for more than $20m.
PropTrack’s Quarterly Home Value Index showed in July Sunshine Beach recorded the highest median home price statewide in the June quarter.
The suburb recorded a median sales price for homes of $3,065,727, a 0.5 per cent increase in the last three months and an 8.1 per cent decrease annually.
With waterfront luxury and Hastings St, Noosa Heads rhas a median house price of $2,090,710.
This put it in the top 10 most expensive suburbs in Queensland and the Sunshine Coast’s second-most expensive area.

Sunshine Beach
4-6 Arakoon Crescent, Sunshine Beach
Two beachfront blocks at Sunshine Beach were sold together in March, 2022 for $21.5m by Eric Seetoo of Tom Offermann Real Estate.
Pictured is an artist’s impression of what could be built on the combined 1174 sqm absolute beachfront land.
Property records show the former owner bought the block for just $1.25m in 1996.
There was an “old” home and a pool on one of the blocks when they sold.
Webb Road, Sunshine Beach
Boasting seven bedrooms and a whopping eight bathrooms, this beachfront residence was sold for $18m.
The “trophy” home with 444m of beach frontage is built across two separate titles.
The sale was made in 2018 by Nic Hunter from Tom Offermann Real Estate.
According to property records it is owned by CSSI Pty Ltd whose director is David Russell from Victoria.
Seaview Terrace, Sunshine Beach
The beach frontage home sold to former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd’s entrepreneur wife Therese Rein in May 2020 for $17m.
Dowling Neylan Real Estate Noosaville handled the sale of the property formerly owned by tennis great Pat Rafter.
Property records show the seven-bedroom home, which features a private path down to the beach sold in May 2020 for $17m.
Webb Road, Sunshine Beach
The Sunshine Beach property was crowned the most expensive home ever sold in Queensland when it was sold for $34m in 2021 to billionaire Gina Rinehart.
The property was built by Damien Davidson Builders and the architect was Peter Conley from PCA Architects.
Arakoon Crescent, Sunshine Beach
The four-bedroom property was sold for $28.5m in April, 2022, making it the most expensive on the block.
Property records show it was purchased by Karen Greer, wife of Wilson Asset Management founder Geoff Wilson, a Sydney investment manager.

Philanthropists Keith and Jeanette Ince bought the four-bedroom beachfront property in August, 2022.
Property records revealed it was bought for $20m.

The five-bedroom riverfront house was sold in December, 2022 for more than $23m by Rebekah Offermann from Tom Offermann Real Estate, property records state.
The home is now owned by socialite and sister of Real Housewives of Sydney star Krissy Marsh, Jaclyn Gazal.
Noosa Parade, Noosa Heads
Property records show the house was sold in July, 2022 for $27m by Gillian McCauley from Richardson and Wrench Noosa Heads.
The four-bedroom, three-bathroom Noosa River property is now owned by Jalna yoghurt company founder Campbell McLaren and his wife Pam.

Property records stated the home was sold in November, 2022 for $19.6m by Tom Offermann from Tom Offermann Real Estate.
The seven-bedroom, four bathroom home by the Noosa River is now owned by M Resources head and coal entrepreneur Matthew Latimore.

The four-bedroom home was sold in October, 2021 for $16.45m by Lisa Hornsby from Dowling Neylan Real Estate Noosaville.
33 Mossman Court, Noosa Heads
The four-bedroom home was sold in December 2021 for more than $20m by Tom Offermann Real Estate.
Property records show it was bought by Dragon Head Properties Pty Ltd.
Witta Circle, Noosa Heads
This Noosa Heads waterfront home sold to independent craft brewer Colonial Brewing Co managing director Lawrence Dowd and his partner, Nikki Morris.
The house was snapped up by the Melbourne-based couple for $19.5m in November, 2022, property records show.
Mossman Court, Noosa Heads
The four-bedroom waterfront property was sold for $20m in August, 2022.
Property records show it was bought by Karl Wentzel.
Witta Circle, Noosa Heads
Property records revealed the waterfront three-bedroom home was bought for $19.5m by Kerry Harmanis in March, 2022.
Peregian Beach
16 Kestrel Crescent, Peregian Beach
This two-bedroom home was sold in June, 2017 for $17,850,000 by real estate agent Sabine Freitag.
