Tesla vandalised in daylight at Mooloolaba Wharf on Sunshine Coast
A woman’s Tesla was left with shattered glass and a damaged windscreen after it was targeted in a bottle attack at a Sunshine Coast tourist hotspot.

A woman has shared shocking footage of what appears to be young vandals damaging her car at the Mooloolaba Wharf carpark on Saturday, November 16, prompting an investigation by police.
Sharon Dennison, who posted the video on the Facebook group, Tesla Owners Australia, discovered the damage after returning to her vehicle, a Tesla Model 3, with shattered glass covering the rear of the car and noticeable damage to the windscreen and roof.
She reviewed footage from her car’s Tesla camera and saw bottles being thrown at the vehicle.
“Came back to find glass shattered all over the back of the car,” Ms Dennison said in her post.
“Damage to windscreen and roof. Reviewed video and bottles thrown at car.”
According to police, the incident occurred about 3.30pm in the carpark on Parkyn Parade.
“A bottle was thrown at a Tesla 3 in a carpark on Parkyn Parade, scratching the vehicle,” a Queensland Police Service spokesman said.
No charges have been laid and an investigation continues.
In her follow-up post, Ms Dennison thanked the community for their support, including those who reached out with tips and shared the post.
“Thanks to everyone for suggestions and shares. Thanks also to the many people who DM me with identity (they are locals),” she wrote.
