A Sunshine Coast builder who allegedly used a 3D printer to create gun parts has had three separate groups of charges mentioned in court.

Defence lawyer Matt Cooper appeared in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on behalf of Benjamin Robert Osborne on January 6.

Mr Cooper told the court Mr Osborne is facing two groups of nine charges stemming from alleged incidents in May 2024 and one group of 16 from October.

Mr Osborne is currently on Supreme Court bail.

Mr Cooper said a brief of evidence was received regarding the matters from May but a drug analysis certificate was missing.

Police prosecutor Nick Nitschke told the court the certificate should not be far away as the “ETA” was late last year.

Sergeant Nitschke said the brief regarding the set of 16 charges was also ready for collection, but may also be missing a drug analysis certificate.

Magistrate Chris Callaghan adjourned the matter to January 27.

Court documents previously viewed by this publication stated Mr Osborne allegedly told police he had a loaded handgun when officers raided his Cootharaba home.

The builder allegedly explained how he used gun blueprints to 3D print the stocks and triggers, used barrels ordered off TEMU and springs from Bunnings to create the weapon.

Documents stated knives, 3D-printed knuckle dusters, drug items, ammunition, pipes and $4400 cash were allegedly found during the raid.

A small amount of amphetamine, 4.2g of cocaine and 50ml of GHB were also allegedly found.

Mr Osborne has been charged with 34 offences including 10 counts of possessing drugs, three counts of possessing weapons and one of manufacturing weapons without a licence.
