Watch: Two rushed to hospital after Queenslander engulfed in flames

Fire crews have been called back to a Eumundi home which was torn apart by a mysterious blaze after it reignited in the Queenslander style property overnight.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said one crew returned to a Cook St home about 7.20pm on Sunday October 16, 2022 after receiving calls a fire had relit at the property.

The spokeswoman said crews were able to dampen down smouldering parts and extinguished the blaze by 7.45pm.

On Sunday a spokesperson said the fire was not being treated as suspicious, but there was too much damage to the home to determine a cause.

It comes after two people were rushed to hospital after the home erupted in flames early on October 16, 2022.

Emergency services were called to the scene at 5.48am to reports a single-storey Queenslander home was on fire.

The spokeswoman said five fire crews arrived to find the home “well alight”.

All persons inside the home were accounted for, she said, and the fire was extinguished by 8.30am.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said two women suffered burns to their arms, and were taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in stable conditions.

They could not confirm ages for the women.
