Adam Gordon Lord accused of $246,500 fraud on the Gold Coast

Police will allege a 27-year-old Beerwah man dishonestly gained more than $246,000 on the Gold Coast over several months.

A Beerwah man has faced court after being charged with the alleged fraud of almost a quarter of a million dollars.

Adam Gordon Lord, 27, appeared briefly in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Thursday, April 14, 2022, charged with dishonestly gaining benefit/advantage value of at least $100,000.

Police say the alleged fraud of $246,500 took place on the Gold Coast between October 31, 2017 and February 22, 2018.

Mr Lord was charged by police on March 23, 2022.

No plea has been entered by Mr Lord according to court documents.

Mr Lord’s defence lawyer Warren Tegg told the court they would be seeking the full brief for the “reasonably serious” matter.

His matter was adjourned to June 3 for mention.

Mr Lord left the court on bail.
