Veterans left out on superannuation payments

We are not talking about taxpayers' money in the fund, it is ex and serving members' compulsory payments to the fund.

I SERVED 25 years full time and 15 years as an active reserve in the RAAF.

Every word written by Phil Sullivan (Daily, March 7) was accurate.

When I took my advance payment, I was told it would be paid back over a 30-year period.

It has not happened.

Also, payments have been reduced in value due to unfair indexation.

The fund is now run by Comsuper.

However we still have to pay tax.

We are not talking about taxpayers' money in the fund, it is ex and serving members' compulsory payments to the fund.

Perhaps it would have been wiser to be a politician and attract a $200,000 payment per year for the rest of my life thanks to taxpayers' funding.
