WHY are we having so many fare evaders?
I waited for my bus at Nambour Rail on Sunday afternoon.
The 631 came into the station, while waiting for my 610 bus.
While there, I watched eight people get on the bus without paying.
When my bus came in I got my seat, and watched another six fare evaders get on.
Now they were not kids, most were in the age bracket of 12-18 on both buses, so they knew what they were doing.
It sickens me, as a pensioner, that these kids think they can get away with it.
I wonder how they would feel if they were handed infringement notices, and given 14 days to pay or they go to court, simple as that.
They are taking advantage of the tragedy of Daniel Morcombe, all because they think they can get away with it.
It's about time something was done.
I get sick and tired of seeing them get on without paying, and they think it's fun not paying.
When is Translink going to do something?
