BOTH Labor and the conservative parties are failing to come to grips with the measure of discontent in the electorate in regard to increasing living costs, political correctness, and the plight of pensioners and the aged.
This discontent will be reflected in coalition governments between the Liberal and One Nation Parties in the west and the LNP and One Nation in Queensland at the next election.
Malcolm Turnbull needs to show leadership by sitting down with the Labor Party and sorting out the Senate.
Our forefathers set it up as a "house of review” to safeguard the interests of all states.
It is far from that today.
Good governance dictates the Senate needs to return to what it was originally intended to do.
Unless we see leadership from both political mainstream parties in getting reform, Australia will not prosper.
