Woman, man taken to hospital after crash in Verrierdale

Two people have been taken to hospital, one with potentially life-threatening injuries, after a car lost control and went down an embankment on the Sunshine Coast.

Two people have been taken to hospital after a car lost control and went down an embankment on the Sunshine Coast.

Emergency services were called to Eumundi Noosa Rd, Verrierdale at 2.39pm Sunday after reports of a single-vehicle crash.

A car had left the road and went down an embankment.

An adult woman suffered pelvic, abdomen and head injuries that were potentially life-threatening.

She has been taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital where she remains in a critical condition - fighting for her life.

An adult man with chest pain was also taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Man rescued at Mt Beerwah

Paramedics have rushed to attend a man who suffered an injury while rock climbing and get him down the mountain.

The incident occurred on Mt Beerwah at the Glass House Mountains about 2.49pm on Saturday.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said it is reported a man in his 30s suffered a shoulder injury, but no reports of his condition have been made at this time.

Paramedics are experiencing a delay in getting the patient down the mountain terrain, the spokesman said.
