An iconic and recently rebranded Noosa nightclub has hit the market, less than a year after a new owner took over and completed major renovations.
Nightclub owner Ken Woods opened the Aqua Lounge and Nightclub in November last year after spending $400,000 bringing the venue back to life following the closure of the iconic Rolling Rock nightclub.
The legendary Rolling Rock venue operated on the popular Hastings St strip for more than 20 years.
Mr Woods previously told this publication he hoped the Aqua Lounge and Nightclub would attract more Noosa locals of all ages, with modern and changing cocktail menu.
When opening the nightclub, Mr Woods pledged no cocktail would be priced over $20.
The sale listing described the venue as the largest nightclub in Noosa, allowing the new buyer to become a “key player” in Noosa’s vibrant nightlife while providing “significant opportunities” to expand the business.
“Owning this nightclub offers the perfect blend of business and lifestyle in Noosa’s stunning surroundings,” the listing stated.
“You will become a key player in Noosa’s vibrant night-life and entertainment scene. Comprehensive training and transition support will be provided to ensure your success.”
The listing also said the venue came fully equipped with a “state-of-the-art” audio system and a strong, loyal customer base.
“The business is a turnkey operation, fully equipped with state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems, stylish decor and a loyal clientele. The nightclub has a large following with both locals and visitors to the area frequenting the club ensuring ‘Aqua ’ operates to maximum capacity,” the listing stated.
Mr Woods declined to comment on the nightclub’s sale listing.
Interested buyers have the choice of buying the AQUA leasehold and leasing the premise.
