They don't know it yet but a Nambour resident or visitor has started the week as a multi-millionaire after scoring a division one win in Saturday’s Gold Lotto Superdraw.

The mystery winner held one of 10 division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4177, in which each entry took home a division one prize worth $2 million.

However, with the winning entry unregistered, officials from The Lott have no way of contacting the winner are instead waiting for the ticketholder to come forward to claim their prize.

The winning entry was purchased at Nambour Village News, Shop 3, 9-15 Mill Street, Nambour.

Nambour Village News manager Danielle Parkinson said she had been dreaming of selling a division one prize for five years.

“When I found out Sunday morning the exciting news I instantly burst into tears and called my parents,” she said.

“It’s a dream come true, I’ve been dreaming of this for five years so it’s mind-blowing.

“It was actually my fifth year anniversary of running the shop on Sunday so I’d been talking all week to customers about how amazing it would be to celebrate both milestones and it actually happened.”

While it’s the first time the store has sold a division one winning ticket, they’re certainly no strangers to success.

Two years ago Ms Parkinson said they sold a first Prize in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot, which was $200,000, and also the top prize in the $10 Live the Life Instant Scratch-It back in 2015, which was $650,000.

Her parents also own David Low Way News & Coolum Beach News as well.

“As soon as lockdown is over we will celebrate here. I dare say there will be champagne and cake involved,” she said.

The Lott spokesman Matt Hart urged people to check their tickets.

“Everyone’s routines are disrupted at the moment so just a reminder to check tickets and give us a call if they think they’re holding a $2m winner,” he said.

“It was an unregistered ticket which means we don't know who they are and they haven't come forward yet.”

If you discover you are holding the winning ticket, contact The Lott on 131 868.
