Emergency services have rushed to a multi-vehicle crash in West Woombye that left a teenager in hospital.

About 3.20pm, emergency services were called to a two-car crash at the intersection of Old Palmwoods Road and Reids Road in West Woombye.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said they were treating two patients at the scene, both drivers of the two cars involved.

They said the cars had appeared to collide nose to tail.

One of the drivers, a man in his late teens, was treated for arm injuries by paramedics and would require transport to hospital.

The second driver, a man in his late 70s, was uninjured.

Witnesses on social media said one car was pulled over to the side of the road with the other in the middle of the left lane.

Meanwhile, in Parrearra, a car has crashed into a fire hydrant on a residential street near Grand Parade about 2.30pm.

Queensland Fire Department crews attended both scenes to help clean up and turn off the damaged hydrant, according to a spokeswoman.

Initial reports said the driver at the Parrearra incident was trapped, but the Fire Department spokeswoman said they had extricated themselves by the time emergency crews arrived.
