A failed restructuring attempt has led to the collapse of a company formerly behind a Sunshine Coast plumbing business, leaving the Australian Taxation Office pursuing almost $900,000.

The company, which is currently referred to by the ACN number 641 888 226 Pty Ltd, previously traded as Eco Earth Plumbing, according to the Australian Business Register.

According to documents filed with Australian Securities and Investments Commission the company first appointed a restructuring practitioner in August 2025 before entering voluntary liquidation on October 10, 2025.

Liquidator Dane Hammond from Worrells was appointed to complete the winding up.

The director of the company, Maria Rosa Fisher, first contacted Mr Hammond in September this year regarding a failed attempt to restructure the business.

“The director advised that the company previously underwent a failed small business restructuring appointment and was now seeking information on the options available,” the documents stated.

Ms Fisher told this publication all employees had been paid.

“The employees were paid all their wages, super always paid on a weekly basis for two years now,” Ms Fisher said.

“When I closed the business I paid all their entitlement, notice period, redundancy pay, all accordingly with their rights. I would never not pay an employee.”

The documents list the ATO as the main creditor, which is owed about $757,000 in “insolvencies” and about $100,000 in superannuation debts.

The total debt figure is estimated to be $894,157.

Ms Fisher stated the superannuation debts were owed to herself and her ex-husband, Aaron Kurt Fisher.

Mr Fisher, who acted as the company director between 2020 and 2023, has been contacted for comment by this publication.

His social media shows he has since moved to the Gold Coast.

The ABR profile shows the company was first registered in July 2020.

It is understood a separate business named Eco Earth Plumbing continues to operate under an unrelated entity and is not impacted by the liquidation.

It began trading under the business name in September 2025.
