A well-known Noosa developer has brought in an award-winning building designer for a proposed luxury unit development on a prime Peregian Beach site.

Noosa builder, Damien Davidson’s development company, Davrus Pty Ltd, first applied to the Noosa Council to demolish the three existing unit blocks in Peregian Beach in May, 2024.

The addresses listed in the demolition application lodged by the development company included 66 Peregian Esplanade, 1 Martin St and 23 Avocet Parade.

The company snapped up the three properties, which included a mix of two and three-bedroom units, in March 2022 for a total of approximately $8.25m, according to property data.

Last week a new application was made by the developer to the Noosa Council outlining the plans for the site, which would include eight luxury three-bedroom units designed by award-winning Noosa building designer, Chris Clout Design.

According to the town planning report each of the four ground-floor apartments would feature a private pool, while the upper floor apartments would include a private balcony surrounded by “softening” landscaping.

“Each unit comprises a master bedroom with an ensuite, two bedrooms, one bathroom, powder room, laundry, a kitchen, living, and dining room. Private open space includes a private balcony for upper level units or an outdoor alfresco area, turfed yard and pool for ground level units,” the report stated.

“The street facing elevation incorporates a mix of lightweight building materials and finishes to provide visual interest and that is reflective of the locality.”

The eight units would be spread across four individual buildings, each two-storeys with balconies and pools.
