A handful of Sunshine Coast McDonald's stores are temporarily closed due to floods affecting supplies.
Maroochydore, Sunshine Plaza, Coolum Beach and Kawana stores on the Sunshine Coast are closed while others are open with reduced menus.
A company spokesman said it was working with licensees and suppliers to reopen impacted restaurants in coming days.
“Just like many businesses across Queensland and New South Wales, McDonald’s has been impacted by the extreme weather experienced on the east coast over the last week,” the spokesman said.
“Unfortunately, this included our Brisbane distribution centre.
“We immediately implemented a number of contingencies, however, the continued poor weather has meant that some of our restaurants have been temporarily closed or are experiencing product shortages.”
It’s understood crispy and grilled chicken and Angus beef are not on offer.
The spokesman said the majority of restaurants remained open.
“The safety and wellbeing of customers, crew and our communities remains our top priority,” he said.
“We appreciate customers’ patience and understanding.”
