Bomb threat at Stanthorpe courthouse

Emergency services crews have rushed to the prominent building after a concerning threat was made to staff over the phone.

Residents have been evacuated after reports of a bomb threat at the Stanthorpe courthouse on Friday morning.

Emergency services were called to the prominent building on Marsh Street at 9.10am on Friday to search for a bomb.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said everyone was evacuated from the building and the investigation team had begun sweeping the building.

The QPS spokesman said police were alerted to the incident after a phone call of the threat was made.

Investigations are continuing, with no one allowed inside the Marsh Street courthouse grounds.
