The months-long wait for the 2022 Stanthorpe Show will finally come to an end this weekend, with the beloved agricultural bonanza set to put the best of the Granite Belt on display.
Postponed from its usual January date at the height of the spread of the Omicron Covid variant, the Stanthorpe Show will run for a massive two days over Saturday and Sunday.
From livestock showings and country show classics to a huge variety of entertainment and more, there’s sure to be something to keep the whole family entertained at this year’s Show.

Livestock competitions
It’s a tried-and-tested show tradition for producers from across the Granite Belt and wider region to try their livestock against competitors, and this year’s Stanthorpe Show won’t be any exception.
Prime lamb judging will kick off the event bright and early at 7am on Saturday, followed by cattle at 8.30am, elite wool at 9am, poultry at 9.30am, and the final prime lamb and carcass competition at 10.30am.
Winners will be announced and presentations completed throughout the morning.

Equestrian competitions
Check out some of the region’s best competitors across campdrafting, show jumping, and dressage throughout the Stanthorpe Show weekend.

Grand parade
The Stanthorpe Show grand parade will light up the Peter Bondfield Arena on Saturday afternoon, featuring the event’s official opening along with a variety of entertainment.

Family entertainment
This year’s Stanthorpe Show has stacks of entertainment lined up throughout the weekend.
Check out The Balancing Man and his gravity-defying acts at the Exhibition Centre, catch Jason Gray’s impressive magic tricks across a massive two days of shows, or head to the racing pig arena to see Noah’s racing pigs battle it out for the top spot.
The novelty dog show is sure to be a hit with animal lovers of all ages from midday on Saturday, while the same timeslot will also see talented kids take the Exhibition Centre stage to show off their whip-cracking skills.

Evening entertainment
Saturday night is set to bring a huge line-up of epic events to the Stanthorpe Showgrounds, with the action-packed affair sure to keep crowds entertained for hours.
Motorbike barrel racing and Aussie FMX freestyle motocross will kick off the evening of fun, followed by a huge fireworks spectacular and live music into the night.

Fashion parades
A dizzying array of sophisticated styles will be on display throughout the 2022 Stanthorpe Show.
Fashion parades will hit the Exhibition Centre at both 2pm and 4pm on Saturday, followed by a special “Fashions Through the Ages” event at midday on Sunday.

Culture fix
It wouldn’t be a Granite Belt event without a solid showing of the region’s best beer, wine, and arts, and this year’s Stanthorpe Show is set to deliver the goods.
Hit the fine arts exhibition from 10am on Saturday to see the beautiful displays of craftsmanship before checking out the wine pavilion, where a huge variety of the region’s wine, beer, and preserves will be available.
