Speeding: Young motorbike rider busted bolting through North Burnett at 140km/h in 80 zone

The 22-year-old motorbike rider was clocked doing a jaw-dropping 140kmh in a 80 zone along a North Burnett road.

A 22-year-old man was slapped with a massive fine after he was clocked travelling a shocking 60km/hr over the speed limit near Biggenden.

At about 11.45am, officers stopped the black motorcycle travelling at 140km/h along River Road in Coringa, near Biggenden.

The area has an 80km/h speed limit.

The Bundaberg man was fined $1286 for high-range speeding and accrued eight demerit points.

Police have issued a reminder for motorists to always be mindful of the Fatal Five – speeding, drink and drug driving, lack of seatbelts, fatigue, and driver distraction.
